With a strong partnership with our host institution, Concordia University Irvine, Pacific Symphony’s arts-X-press joyfully returned to in-person and on-campus programming in the summer of 2021, and arts-X-press will again be held on campus in summer 2022.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we will implement health and safety protocols as recommended by public health officials, the CDC, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Camp Association, Pacific Symphony and Concordia University Irvine.

As we must remain flexible and alert to changes in our public health situation for this summer, please note that our COVID-19 policies may shift before July 2022. Below please find details on our current COVID-19 policies:

• Vaccination: All students, counselors, and staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Boosters are highly encouraged for those eligible.
   
• Testing and health screening: Students may undergo a health screening and additional testing upon arrival. Daily health screens and additional testing may also be in place.
   
• Social distancing: This will be observed as recommended by public health entities named above in July 2022. This may closely mirror our policies for July 2021, which included:
  • A minimum of 3 foot physical distancing indoors
  • 8 foot distance between students singing or playing woodwind or brass instruments
     
• Face coverings, hand washing, sanitation: This will be observed as recommended by public health entities named above in July 2022. This may closely mirror our policies for July 2021, which included:
  • Masks required for all indoor activities and upon arrival to the program
  • Time built in between activities for hand washing and sanitizing
