Combining gracious ballroom dances with psychedelic depictions of a witches’ sabbath, tBerlioz’ revolutionary “Symphonie Fantastique” represents the composer’s obsessive love of a great Shakespearean actress. Ravel's masterful orchestrations and jazz influences led to the creation of his brilliant G Major piano concerto featuring French Canadian pianist Alain Lefevre.
