Sundays at Soka: Dvořák & Rachmaninoff

Assistant Conductor Moon Doh leads Pacific Symphony Chamber Orchestra in music of Dvořák and Rachmaninoff at Soka Performing Arts Center. The matinee opens with Dvořák's cheerful and optimistic Symphony No. 8, written on the occasion of his election to the Bohemian Academy of Science, Literature and Arts. Then, pianist Angel Stanislav Wang takes center stage in Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, a dazzling 24‑variation journey through fire, fury, and romance, built on the legendary violin caprice of Niccolò Paganini.
