A Beethoven Celebration with Alan Chapman
January 12, 2027 | 7:00 PM
Tune Up for the Beethoven Revolution Festival!
With a profusion of musical excerpts and vibrant visuals Alan Chapman takes us on a journey through Beethoven’s life with insights into the music of his masterworks as well as a look at their personal and historical context. You’ll hear about his innovations and his influence on later generations. Among the surprises: a concerto that took thirty-eight years to enter the repertoire, a heroic work composed during the most troubled times, and a symphony that draws on music from a job that Beethoven called “scribbling.”
