Summer first joined AXP as a camper in 2014 and later returned as a counselor for five years. Now, she is excited to continue her journey with AXP as a coordinator. These experiences have had a huge impact on her personal growth and creativity, and the community, friendships, and opportunities she found through AXP have helped shape who she is today. Being able to give back and help create meaningful experiences for others is one of the main reasons she continues to come back each year.

“The community surrounding AXP has always been the main reason I continue to come back year after year. As a camper, the safe environment and lifelong friendships I made left a lasting impact on me. Now, as a staff member, being able to create that same magic for kids that I once experienced myself is incredibly meaningful and continues to inspire me every year. The biggest lesson is to take creative risks no matter the circumstances. Be bold, be brave, and be open to always trying new things.”
