Beethoven's Archduke Trio

March 7, 2027 | 3:00 PM

Beethoven Revolution Festival Encore!

While you sip coffee and savor decadent desserts, your gifted host, curator, and pianist Orli Shaham guides you through an afternoon of chamber music by Ludwig van Beethoven, performed by principal musicians of Pacific Symphony.

Beethoven's Duet with Two Obbligato Eyeglasses for Viola and Cello is a playful musical conversation brimming with warmth and humor. His Septet was so immensely popular during his lifetime, he once exclaimed, "That damn work! I wish it were burned!". The majestic Piano Trio in B-flat Major is commonly referred to as the "Archduke" Trio due to its dedication to Archduke Rudolph of Austria, one of Beethoven's most loyal supporters.
