Filipino American Symphony Junior Orchestra (FASJO)

The Filipino American Symphony Junior Orchestra (FASJO) is the advanced youth ensemble of the Filipino American Symphony Orchestra’s Education Program, providing middle and high school students with high-level orchestral training through weekly rehearsals, sectional work, and personalized coaching from professional FASO musicians.

What distinguishes FASJO is its diverse and culturally rich repertoire, which blends classical works with Filipino, Asian, and world music traditions, as well as contemporary selections. This focus fosters both technical excellence and cultural identity, giving students a deeper understanding of music as a universal art form.

FASJO has performed at prestigious venues including Walt Disney Concert Hall, The Colburn School, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels and major community celebrations, offering young musicians valuable performance experience while connecting them to their cultural roots and the broader musical community.
