
Amber Liekhus
Once described as a “…versatile singer, whose voice is at once regal and affectionate…" (Los Angeles Times), Amber Liekhus has had an exciting and successful career performing professionally for nearly two decades. Amber has performed all over the U.S. and abroad, in theatre, opera, national commercials, and films.
Some of her theatre credits include: Jelly’s Last Jam, The Skin of our Teeth, Sweeney Todd, Annie at The Hollywood Bowl, Sweet Charity, Blues in the Night at The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, Ain't Misbehavin', and Rent to name a few.Amber was a member of the original cast of Frozen: Live at the Hyperion at Disney California Adventure and was also a cast member in Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular also at Disney California Adventure.
Some of her opera credits include: Tosca and Carmen at Arizona Opera, Queen of El Dorado in Candide at Los Angeles Opera, the title role in Suor Angelica with Opera Festival di Roma in Rome, Italy, the Old Woman in David Lang's Difficulty of Crossing a Field at Long Beach Opera, Lily in Porgy and Bess at both San Francisco Opera and Los Angeles Opera.Amber was a featured singer in the film, You Can't Fight Christmas directed by Kenny Young, For Love of Liberty: The Story of America’s Black Patriots directed by Frank Martin, and The Bloody Indulgent directed by Ken Roht.
Amber has been a voice instructor and owner of Amber Liekhus Vocal Studio for 15 years and has taught students who are now pursuing careers in musical theatre, opera, television and film. Amber is a recording artist and has released several songs on Deepvisionz Recordings. She is also a proud member of Singers of Soul, LA’s premier Gospel Choir- under the direction of Dedrick Bonner. They’ve been featured on numerous commercials, including McDonald’s that premiered October of 2024. Amber has also appeared in national commercials for Old Navy, J.C. Penney, and Samsung. Amber’s favorite role to date is mommy to sons Julien and Jasper alongside her loving and supportive husband, Justin.
