Over the past 40 years, Orange County has changed quite a bit. In 1978, Nordstrom had just arrived at South Coast Plaza and California State University, Fullerton, was just starting what would become Pacific Symphony.
By investing in the Orange County community, such as supporting Pacific Symphony, patrons like you have made so much possible in 35 short years. They have increased access to active music making and top-notch professional performances for the students and families of 30 schools, clients of 18 social service agency partners and the hundreds of thousands of concert attendees touched through their support of Pacific Symphony.
And with your support, we can continue to make musical magic for years to come. By getting involved with one of the Symphony’s support groups, making a tax deductible gift, attending a special event, or including Pacific Symphony in your estate plans, you can assure Pacific Symphony’s support of musical life in Orange County for years to come.
Since 1978, hundreds of thousands of people, both young and young-at-heart, have been touched by the power of orchestral music professionally produced right here in Orange County. A new generation of young people has grown up with the Frieda Belinfante Class Act Program in their schools or attending Family Musical Mornings and Classical Connections with their loved ones (read one man’s story here). These experiences have instilled a lifelong love of the arts as well as positive skills like accountability, confidence, focus and problem solving – all skills well-documented to be associated with arts education (read a recent article about it here).
Not only does Pacific Symphony have great education programs, but we also have the world-class talent of Pacific Symphony musicians. They create and participate in all these educational programs alongside their primary job – performing top-notch orchestral music in a dazzling venue, the Reneé and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. The Symphony’s dedication to innovative new music and American composers along with their stunning interpretations of the repertoire have thrilled audiences across the world. Listeners from as far away as Africa hear the Symphony aired over the KUSC website.
