Anthony Reed
Hailed for his supple phrasing and dynamic shading (San Francisco Classical Voice), Anthony Reed will be making his Royal Opera House debut this Fall as Collatinus (The Rape of Lucretia).

A versatile singer and actor, Anthony Reed’s operatic credits include Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte), Truffaldin (Ariadne auf Naxos), King of Egypt (Aida), Don Basilio (Il Barbiere di Siviglia), Dulcamara (L’Elisir d’Amore), Frère Laurent (Roméo et Juliette), and many others.

Equally at home on the concert stage, the Alexandria, Minnesota native has performed Mozart's Requiem, Haydn’s Creation, selections from Bach’s B Minor Mass and Handel’s Messiah, and Handel's Missa in Tempore Belli. He has performed with the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, Nashville Symphony, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Philharmonia Baroque, and Curtis Symphony Orchestra, among others.

Reed is a distinguished alumnus of the Ryan Opera Center, Adler Fellowship, Merola Opera Program, Wolf Trap Opera, Curtis Institute of Music, and the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire as well as a current member of Britten Pears Arts.  Reed has studied under the tutelage of such artists as Mikael Eliasen, Julia Faulkner, Sheri Greenawald, Nicola Luisotti, Danielle Orlando, William Stone, and Craig Terry.
