2020-21 Season Postponed

Make a Contribution

As we experience evolving conditions in Orange County, we remain fiercely determined to bring you live performances as soon as it is safe to do so. To prepare for a return to the stage for recordings and live performances, we are working with leading epidemiologists from the University of California, Irvine to develop protocols assuring the health and safety of our musicians and audience. As conditions safely permit, we will transition from digital content to live concerts and events and subscribers will be the first to learn these details as they become available.

Given the current uncertainty caused by COVID-19, we have decided to postpone the previously announced 2020-21 season to 2021-22 and replace it with exciting, reimagined programming, as health guidelines allow. We believe postponing is the most responsible option to assure your safety, and it provides the most flexibility for us to deliver live performances when they are permitted.

FAQS

We understand the complexity of this situation and have outlined answers to additional questions you might have:

WILL THE PROGRAMMING FOR THE 2021-22 SEASON BE THE SAME AS 2020-21?

We are working hard to ensure that the original programming for 2021-22 remains the same for 2021-22. As you can imagine, calendaring guest artists into the following season is a challenging process but we remain optimistic that most of the season will feature the repertoire that we know you were looking forward to. We anticipate that we will have finalized programming by January. If you have not already done so, please join our email list to receive the latest information.

WHAT HAPPENS TO CONCERTS I HAVE ADDED-ON TO MY SUBSCRIPTION PACKAGE?

All special add-on concerts have automatically been moved to the 2021-22 season.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY CREDIT FOR OTHER CANCELLED PERFORMANCES?

Credit for previously cancelled concerts will remain on your account until June 2022. You will be able to apply this credit toward upcoming alternative performances (details to be announced) or other performances throughout the 2021-22 season.

WHEN WILL WE HEAR ABOUT THE 2021-22 SEASON?

We anticipate that we will have finalized programming by January. If you have not already done so, please join our email list to receive the latest information.

WHAT SPECIAL BENEFITS WILL I ENJOY AS A SUBSCRIBER IN 2020-21 AS WE WAIT FOR A RETURN TO LIVE PERFORMANCES?

We are grateful for the ongoing loyalty and patience of our season subscribers. As our way of saying thank you, we offer the following benefits:

  • Guaranteed same seating for the 2021-22 season
  • Advance notification of reimagined programming for fall 2020/spring 2021
  • Special pricing for reimagined programming for fall 2020/spring 2021
  • Receive special invitations for exclusive digital meet-and-greets
  • Receive special loyalty recognition in all publications and online until June 2022

IF YOU CAN PERFORM SOONER THAN FALL 2021, WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO OUR SEATS AND TICKETS?

As we phase back into live performances, health guidelines may limit our ability to seat full houses. Subscribers will be given advance notification—ahead of the general public—about any performances scheduled before the 2021-22 season and will be seated according to order date, donation history, prior subscription history and volunteer support.

IF I SEE CONCERTS IN THE 2021-22 SEASON THAT POSE A CONFLICT OR PROGRAMS THAT ARE NOT PREFERABLE, WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

We anticipate that we will have finalized programming for the 2021-22 season in January, at which time subscribers will be afforded the opportunity to make adjustments to their season packages.
