Barry Perkins

Barry Perkins has served as Principal Trumpet of Pacific Symphony since 2004. Throughout his career, he has performed with many world renown orchestras, famous classical and jazz artists as well as esteemed conductors. Barry has performed on the world's most prestigious concert stages including those of Munich, Frankfurt, London, Paris, Lucerne, Hannover, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Essen, Vienna, as well as those of the United States. He most recently has performed for the Kennedy Center Honors.
When Barry was in his early 20's, he held the position of Associate Principal Trumpet of the Mexico City Philharmonic for 5 years. In the many years that followed, Barry has performed with the San Diego Symphony, San Diego Opera, Baltimore Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, American Ballet Theater and Principal with the Mainly Mozart Festival.
In addition to his current duties with the Pacific Symphony, Barry is a member of the music faculty at California Baptist University, UCI and founder of the Barry Perkins Trumpet Academy which has reached hundreds of young musicians throughout Southern California.
