Community, Corporate and Private Foundation Giving
Are you affiliated with an Orange County-based corporation or do you sit on the Board of Directors of a foundation? Do you serve in an advisory capacity for a family, local or national foundation?
Support from institutional giving is a crucial part of Pacific Symphony’s fundraising efforts, and includes grants from foundations, corporations, businesses and government agencies. Giving from these groups helps support all of Pacific Symphony’s programming. By funding projects ranging from Class Act, our nationally-recognized in-school education program for elementary schools, to our Family Musical Mornings concert series, which introduces young people to classical music in a fun and educational way, foundation support truly makes an impact.
We rely on grassroots efforts to assist us in reaching out to these vital institutional funders. If you are an advocate for keeping the arts a vibrant part of the Orange County community, whether formally or informally, we invite you to reach out, make an introduction, open a door, and learn more about what the Symphony is doing for people of all ages and backgrounds.
A partial list of the types of funding support we seek includes grants for:
- Comprehensive Music Education
- Arts Enrichment Activities
- Arts funding, STEAM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Arts-Mathematics)
- Youth Scholarships
- Capacity Building and Sustainability
- General Operating Expenses
- Professional Development
- Capital Campaigns
Not only does Pacific Symphony bring arts education to schools and concerts to stages, but we also use music to help heal our community. By partnering with 18 nonprofit social service agencies through a program called Heartstrings, we provide our partners with access to musical programming that helps them further their missions. Whether bringing hands-on music making programs to the Orange County Rescue Mission or showing the young ladies at Girls, Inc. the power of female musicians, by partnering with Pacific Symphony, foundations, corporations, businesses and government agencies can make an even more tangible impact.
To open a door or become a funding partner, please call Luisa Cariaga, Director of Institutional Giving, for more information at (714) 876-2369.
