Before joining Pacific Symphony, Kyle Mendiguchia, San Diego native, was bass trombonist with the Naples Philharmonic in Florida. Prior to his appointment in Naples, Mendiguchia served one-year positions with the Utah Symphony and San Diego Symphony. He has performed extensively throughout the United States and Europe, performing with ensembles such as the New York Philharmonic, New York City Ballet, San Francisco Symphony, Seattle Symphony, Atlanta Symphony, Alabama Symphony, AIMS institute in Graz, Austria and The Verbier Festival orchestra in Verbier, Switzerland. In 2013, he recorded Sibelius' Symphonies No. 6 and No. 7 and Tapiola with the Atlanta Symphony on the ASO media label. Mendiguchia earned a Master of Music degree from the Juilliard School and a Bachelor of Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
