PSYE 2020-21 Season Programming
We are excited to announce a fully reimagined Pacific Symphony Youth Ensembles virtual season for 2020-21!
Our newly created virtual programming will be available free-of-charge to all PSYE musicians, and although our regular concert activities will be on hold for the 2020-21 season due to COVID-19 safety concerns, we are confident that these virtual offerings will be both exciting and enriching for our gifted young musicians.
Our upcoming PSYE virtual activities include:
- A Sunday Series of live sessions curated by our PSYE Music Directors, with special guest artists and composers
- A college recruitment fair including presentations from Juilliard, Eastman, Ithaca, Vanderbilt, University of Denver, and University of Michigan
- Audition preparation lecture demonstrations with professional musicians
- Masterclasses with University of Denver Lamont School of Music faculty members
- A special university/conservatory prep panel session led by Dr. Gregory X. Whitmore (PSYWE Music Director) and Dr. Jacob Sustaita (PSYO Music Director and Pacific Symphony Assistant Conductor)
- Additional special guest artist events to be announced soon!
We are grateful to be able to make these virtual offerings available to our PSYE musicians, and we are confident that these sessions will help to broaden horizons, will provide creative and practical inspiration, and will help to keep us all connected during these challenging times.
We anticipate a return to our regular PSYE concert season activities in 2021-22, and we look forward to seeing everyone back at the concert hall at that time!
