Pacific Symphony's Update on Contract Negotiations
Orange County, Calif. — December 20, 2016
Pacific Symphony has reached a tentative agreement with members of its musicians’ union, Local 7 of the American Federation of Musicians on a new, long-term contract. The previous contract had expired Aug. 31. Final language is being drafted and the contract is subject to ratification by both the musicians and Pacific Symphony's Board of Directors. Details of the new contract will be released after ratification is complete.
During the past 37 years, Pacific Symphony has become an innovative, successful organization embraced by Southern California. Musicians, of course, are our greatest asset in serving the community: through our concerts, our award-winning education and community engagement programs, our work with health and human services organizations, and our multiple community-based offerings, together we serve more than 300,000 people every year.
