StravinskyThe Firebird (1919 version)

Eric Lee, winner of this year's PSYO Concerto Competition, will dazzle us with his virtuosity, following the inspiring choral emotions of Pacific Chorale’s new youth Honor Choir. The Firebird was Stravinsky's first ballet to be premiered by Sergei Diaghilev’s famous Ballets Russes. Its fantasy-like story tells of Prince Ivan, who summons the magical Firebird to aid him in defeating the evil magician Kastchei and his fiendish monsters.
