Plazacast & Community Celebration
Pacific Symphony celebrates the 100th anniversary of Stravinsky's “The Rite of Spring” with the second FREE “Inside and Out” Plazacast, a live simulcast of the “Rite of Spring Turns 100” concert, presented in association with Segerstrom Center for the Arts on the Arts Plaza outside the concert hall. The festivities begin at 5 p.m. with activity booths and performances by community ensembles prior to the start of the simulcast at 8 p.m.
This unique event is FREE and open to the public—with no ticket required! Bring your own chairs and blankets and picnic on the plaza while enjoying the pre-concert festivities at 5 p.m., followed by a concert preview at 7:30 p.m. with KUSC host Rich Capparela. In addition, Patina’s Tina’s Tacos will have tacos, non-alcoholic beverages, desserts and snacks available for purchase. The first 100 people to arrive receive a free pair of tickets to select concerts at the Symphony’s Summer Festival 2013! The simulcast concert includes selections from Tchaikovsky’s beloved ballets “The Nutcracker” and “Swan Lake,” featuring members of the UC Irvine Department of Dance, Stravinsky’s electrifying “The Rite of Spring” and more. Plus, live intermission interviews on the Plaza! |
