Director of Audience Engagement
The Director of Audience Engagement is responsible for advancing institutional efforts to achieve one of the major goals of the Symphony’s Strategic Plan: “Pacific Symphony leads the nation's orchestras in energizing current and engaging new audiences.” Through funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Director of Audience Engagement will be responsible for artistic projects that enhance concert content and will create ancillary activities to maximize audience engagement. The Director of Audience Engagement is a member of the Artistic and Operations team and reports to the VP of Artistic and Orchestra Operations.

Education and Community Programs Intern
The Education and Community Programs Department is looking for 2-3 interns to assist with its many programs, concerts and events. Pacific Symphony Youth Ensembles Operations Assistant Internship
The Operations Assistant Intern is responsible for the execution of library work for the Youth Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, tracking and management of all absences from rehearsal, entry of data when needed, assisting the Manager during PSYO concerts at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall as well as for their run out concert at Laguna Woods, overseeing two Sunday rehearsals a month (including set up and break down of rehearsals), assisting the manager for Classical Connections days where the Youth Orchestra attends the Symphony concert and rehearses at the Concert Hall afterwards.

AUDITION DATES: Thursday, September 3 and Friday, September 4, 2009.
Preliminaries are tentatively scheduled to begin Thursday at 10:00 AM
Finals are tentatively scheduled to begin Friday at 10:00 AM
Times are subject to change and the need for multiple preliminary rounds on Thursday depends on the number of candidates auditioning. If there is a need to schedule additional Preliminaries on Friday, the Finals will be immediately following the Preliminary rounds.
