Mexican Tenor Edgardo Lopez Yanez is currently a first-year undergraduate student, studying vocal performance at Chapman Univerisity’s Hall Musco-Conservatory of Music. Born in Aguascalientes, Mexico, Edgardo began singing at age 7 under the guidance of his father, internationally renowned tenor, Jorge Lopez-Yañez, who has taught, mentored, and coached Edgardo ever since. In 2015, he moved to the United States, where he attended and graduated from the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities. During his time there, he studied with Tom Dickinson and Landon Baumgard. Now, continuing his vocal training at Chapman University, studies with Bruce McClurg.
